If you’re looking for a wonderful afternoon delight to snack on, Food Enthusiast, Aaron Pinkston has created a delicious twist of deep fried chicken salad roll with sweet chili sauce. Of course, me being the true foodie that I am, I decided to try it out and it tasted delicious. The sauce adds a sweet tangy element with a kick of spice.

Here the recipe if you’re looking to try something new as an appetizer for you and/or your guests.

– Whole Chicken Breast cut into strips

– Seasoned bread crumbs and/or Panko

– 1 Egg

– Salt

– Black pepper

– Thyme

– Basil

– Ground red pepper

– Garlic powder

– Spring Mix: arugula, spinach, chicory, baby lettuce & crucifer leaves

– 1 cucumber slided in thin strips

– Spring roll skin ( Rice Vermicelli)

Directions :

– Mix the egg in the bowl with seasonings listed above, then dip chicken into egg mixture.

– In a separate bowl, take bread crumbs or panko and dip the into it and then deep fry.

– Once done frying, soak the vermicelli in hot water until it soften. Lay flat on plate and place greens and chicken in the middle of  the wrap and roll.

– As you roll, make sure you roll it tightly so veggie and chicken stay in place.

– Once you have completed closing the roll, cut into two to three pieces.


Sweet Chili Sauce:

– 1 tsp Sesame oil

-1 tsp Hoisin Sauce

-1 tsp Rice vinegar

-1 tsp Chili garlic sauce


– Mix all sauces together to create the sweet chili sauce.
