The time has come for a woman to be on currency and Treasury Secretary Jack Lew agrees.

Lew announced Wednesday that a woman will be featured on the new $10 bill come 2020. Perfect timing, 2020 will mark the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.

We have only made changes to the faces on our currency a few times since bills were first put into circulation, and I’m proud that the new 10 will be the first bill in more than a century to feature the portrait of a woman,” Lew said.

But the question on everyone’s mind is: what woman is going to be on the bill?

The Treasury Department is letting the public voice their opinion. Who do you think should be on the $10 bill? Submit yours ideas on TheNew10.Treasury.Gov or on Twitter by using the hashtag #TheNew10.

The made-over bill will be the first paper currency to be have a woman’s face on it in over a century(!!!).
